By accessing or using Potato Chat and related websites, applications, robots, applets and developer services, you have read and agreed to abide by these terms and related policies. If you disagree with any of the content, please stop using the Service.
Users who have not reached the legal age in their region should use the service with the consent and guidance of their parents or legal guardians. When using the Services on behalf of an organization, you affirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Accounts, authentication and security
Some functions require registration and verification through phone number, email or other support methods. You should provide true and valid information, and promptly update important information that affects account security or contact.
- Keep the verification code, password, recovery email and logged-in device properly.
- Do not transfer, sell, rent or share control of your account.
- After discovering abnormal login or credential leakage, immediately terminate the unfamiliar session and contact support.
- The account holder may be held responsible for activities that occur due to failure to properly protect the account.
3. Service usage and availability
You may use messages, calls, file transfers, groups, channels, bots, mini-programs and other currently provided features subject to compliance with these Terms and applicable laws. Features may vary across platforms, regions and versions.
The service may be temporarily interrupted due to maintenance, upgrades, network, device compatibility, security risks or force majeure. We will maintain the Service to a reasonable extent, but do not guarantee that any feature will be permanent, error-free, or continuously available in all regions.
4. User Content and Responsibilities
You retain the rights to the texts, pictures, audio and video, files and other content that you own according to law, and you should ensure that you have the right to create, upload, forward or disclose these contents.
To complete sending, synchronization, storage, format conversion, thumbnail generation and multi-device access, you grant the service provider only the processing permissions necessary to operate and improve related functions. - You are responsible for the content you publish, transmit or save.
- Receipt of content does not mean that the service provider recognizes its authenticity or legality.
- Please respect the privacy and rights of others before forwarding, publishing or downloading their content.
5. Prohibited Conduct
When using the service, you are not allowed to commit illegal, fraudulent, infringing, harassing, malicious damage or harmful behavior to others, including but not limited to:
- Spread illegal content, malware, fraudulent information or unauthorized commercial harassment.
- Impersonate others, forge identities, steal accounts, or induce others to provide verification codes and credentials.
- Infringement of copyright, trademark rights, privacy rights, portrait rights or other legal rights.
- Use automated means to register in batches, brush traffic, spam messages, or bypass access restrictions.
- Interfere with the normal use of servers, networks, clients, security features or other users.
- Reverse engineer, sell, sublicense or commercialize protected portions of the Services without permission.
6. Intellectual Property
Potato Chat’s name, logo, interface, software, code, documents, graphics and other content provided by service providers or licensors are protected by intellectual property laws. No ownership or commercial use rights are granted to you except as expressly authorized by the Terms.
You can install and run the client within the scope required for normal use of the service. When developers use APIs, robots, applets or SDKs, they should also abide by the corresponding development rules, brand specifications and interface restrictions.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Robots, mini-programs, external websites, payment channels, app stores and third-party content may be operated by independent third parties. The terms, privacy policies, fees and security measures of third-party services are the responsibility of the respective providers.
Please confirm the source of the service and read its rules before leaving Potato Chat or submitting information to a third party. No additional guarantees are made regarding the availability, content and transactions of third-party services, unless otherwise provided by law.
8. Suspension, Restriction and Termination
If an account violates these terms, creates a security risk, infringes on the rights of others, or the law requires action, the relevant functions or account may be restricted, suspended or terminated. In emergency safety situations, necessary measures can be taken before notification.
You can stop using the service and delete your account according to the process provided by the client. Deleting an account may render cloud messages, media, contacts, and settings unrecoverable; please read the confirmation prompt and back up necessary data before operating.
9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Services are provided as currently available. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, no express warranties are made that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or fit for a particular purpose.
For losses caused by equipment failure, network interruption, third-party services, user content, unauthorized access or events beyond reasonable control, the scope of liability is determined by applicable law and specific circumstances. These Terms do not exclude consumer rights or statutory liabilities which may not be excluded by law.
10. Terms Updates and Applicable Rules
The Terms may be updated when services, legal or operating arrangements change. Major changes will be prompted through the website, client or other reasonable means, and the update date will be noted. Continued use of the updated services indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.
The applicable laws, dispute resolution methods and jurisdictional arrangements of these Terms shall be clarified in the final version by the official operating entity based on the user’s region and legal requirements.
